Have you been leaving behind that winter coat a lot more lately and enjoying a few extra hours of daylight in the evenings? That can only mean one thing – the summer season is upon us. As we spend more time outdoors, we need to remember one other vital wardrobe accessory – sunscreen. This is the one item you should put on FIRST, but is usually the last thing on everyone’s mind!

Did you know that May is Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month? This inspired us to do some reading, and the statistics will inspire you to pick up a fresh bottle of sunscreen.

Did you know that one in five Americans will be diagnosed with skin cancer in the course of their lifetime?

The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) wants to get the word out about skin cancer before the fun in the sun does any damage. AAD is offering free skin cancer screenings across the country.
